About Me
Hi I'm Racheal Vencill...Thank you for visiting!!!
Just a little about me, I am a wife and mother of two. I have a beautiful daughter, born in 2010 and a handsome boy who followed closely behind in 2011. My family is my everything and I love them very much! My interest in childcare started at a very early age. From playing school as a child to babysitting my nieces as a teenager, I just couldn't get enough. Now some years later, here I am with my own daycare and a chance to get back to my passion..caring for, laughing with, learning from and teaching children!
Experience & Education
In high school, I took childhood development courses where I gained experience caring for children and planning activities. I then accepted an internship to become a student teacher for Hilltop Elementary school. I loved it so much I stayed on to assist during the summer. I continued working with children providing care to a local family until their children were of age to care for themselves. I went on to work at Arthur Slade Private school, first in their before and after program, then becoming a group leader and finally senior staff certified, helping to teach in the preschool. During these years I attended Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) for a degree in early childhood education. I took the necessary steps to becoming a licensed childcare provider and have been operating cheerful cherubs since 2012. By getting and maintaining my first aid/CPR certification, state licensing, and continuing my education, I show my commitment to providing quality care and education to my cherubs.
My Goal
To ease the minds of parents and guardians in need of childcare to know that your children are being lovingly cared for in a fun, and safe environment.
My Vision
Cheerful Cherubs is here to provide care and support to families through their child's fundamental years of development from infancy to school-age in a fun, engaging and welcoming manner.
